ha ha ha I'm more like, "I won't bother you if you don't bother me!!" disposition!! ha ha ha
And I gave up *waitressing* years ago, dear man, so I'll leave the food department to you ~ be it give or *take*. ha ha ha

Back to my chair....hhhmmm maybe even drawing. I've said that so long now, I don't know how to go about it.

Actually, truth be known, my wrists have swelled up and especially the L one has been extremely painful. So it looks like I may have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I got to looking at other problems that go along with that & I have been suffering from. So just trying to stay positive rather than discouraged. It has been extremely painful to use the L wrist. Then I don't know what happened, but Sun while I was waiting for the people I was getting a ride with [they were talking to other folks they knew]; I switched my purse from my R hand to my L and something pulled or snapped and it HURT and I screamed OUCH!! and dropped my purse. I don't know what that did [the weight of holding my purse], but it must have been good. As I have been testing to see how much I could do with minimal pain. I made some homemade curlers [after the fashion of the pink sponge one.... pattern online ; so a take between the sponge one and rag tying. ]. Now that I probably have bored you, ha ha ha time to move on, eh? ha ha ha

See ya.... & bless ya. IR

I already know what Katie is going to say ... but I hope the rest of you can see something decent in this. I've been staring at it too long now ...
I think this may be a cat., Ken! o

All joking aside., this is fabulous! Love that eye!

Loving it! You've already got the start of the depth. I know you will go for more and the reflection going into the pupil is terrific. I also really like the outer edge of the eyeball
Shouldn't that right pupil be made a little longer as well as wider?
Still watching over your shoulder

Good luck with your plans!
I'm Windows OS and alot of Windows development. However, almost everybody now wants experienced Linux OS. I know Linux but not well enough to walk into a high level position
I had fun with VB but only had two classes in college for it. For the last six years, I specialized in C (turning it into OOP) and C++.

I think that is a reflection of it's open source. However, most small business owners don't know much about computers and don't want to learn a new OS so, at least around here, they invariably run Windows. Very few move to Macs because of the cost ... and the fact that their software is already paid for and won't run on Apples or isn't available for that OS.

My high school had a "personal computer" back in 1970. The human interface was a teletype machine with a phone cradle in the days before monitors. It had a resident language of Basic but I quickly found it was more fun to use machine language. Each byte was entered by throwing switches on the front of the computer and then storing it. As the computer had no long term memory and only about 4K of RAM (could have been 2K) as I recall, code had to be saved on punch tape. Good old days. Then I got to working on IBM 370s that took up an entire office building floor .. and Fortran IV was the language of discriminating engineers at the time. After that came the Commodore 64 and Apple II so I got involved with Basic again and quickly moved back to machine language for efficiency and control. Once PCs came along and Windows I got into VB and C++ though I'm more comfortable with VB. There isn't much need for machine code as the computers are now fast enough without it.

Re: Back again ....

Thanks Bren.

Thanks also Peggy. The shape of the new eye is slightly off - mostly about a pencil width line in the 7 O'Clock area .. just a tad. I'm quite confident that the rest of it is shaped correctly. Until I get the cheek in place it's really hard to tell for certain. I'm always harping on putting eyes in context because they don't look right before that.

Where I think it loses it's shape is more from the reflection .. the left side ought to be more rounded which will enhance the illusion of the dome of the eye.

Re: Back again ....

I've heard stories about those punch cards but never had the opportunity to use them I programmed in Fortran once
Machine Language is definitely different and did a lot of it in school. None since!
My job right out of school ( I was a late bloomer) and for the last six years was programming I960's.
Now they are becoming obsolete which is why I was downsized. No need for my expertise and not enough money to pay me while I learned new stuff. Hired a college intern for that
I was talking about the other right but I see what you are talking about as well. I have complete confidence in your ability to make this another fantastic piece of art by you!

My first computer assignment was with punch cards. It was a simple formula to work out something you could do in you head in 2 secs. They even showed us how to do it and in which order the punch cards must go. After 3 tries I still could not get it right and decided computers weren't for me - a calculator was far quicker

Re: Back again ....

Thanks Michael.

My tape predates punch cards. HA! The tape was yellow and made of paper. It was 3/4" wide and the teletype machine punched holes in it when creating it .. and, of course, read the holes when loading the program - just like punch cards but cheaper. All the kids who had access to the computer were running around with coils of yellow paper all over the place.

Are you saying she needs to be boiled in water first or cooked in an oven?

Computer language seems to be its own animal. I was always pretty good in maths and have written many 'programs', more like mathematical formulas, using spreadsheets for my company in stock control, purchasing forecasts etc but I could never understand the logic of computer programming. If I remember correctly the language was Fortran. Odd how the brain works.

Boiled and cooked, yes, but not in water or an oven
