Yes it is tough to romanticize subjects like this. It can be done by considering the light for instance. It might be painted in the orange and purple glow of a sunset with dramatic shadow and highlighting. Or you might decide for example that those towers and stacks ans slanted tubes are marvelous and really play them up, simplifying the bulk and block of the buildings below. The artist has no end of options! Do some looking at industrial paintings. They can really be marvelously decorative and satisfying! I realize here that we are not dealing with the smoke and fire drama of a manufacturing plant of some kind, your color has perhaps been chosen with the benign nature of the plant in mind.
