Just wanted to share this. Really happy with this new painting. Want to add more flowing lines in my compositions......

See also the tutorial movie on my blog. (12 hours)

Re: New pomegranate-still life painting / Tutorial video

thnx... yes I really enjoyed painting the pomegranate... You know that I acually *never* ate one in my entire life? Only painted them.. And as time goes on my hesitation to eat one is getting ever greater. Strange isn't it?

When I checked your website, among the still life works a marvelous figure study is also there. Again the accurate drawing and life like colors stand out. I wish you paint more figures and portraits in addition to still lives, and sell their videos also. I bought this one to encourage myself before my attempt to paint a half-eaten pomegranate. It's delicious by the way, you shouldn't miss it if you are not allergic

Thnx.. Yes a figure video will probably appear at some time..

Yes, painting the pomegranate is a delight. But I'm afraid of breaking the spell by eating it..........

You have such a wonderful way with light. I always feel like I can reach into your paintings and grab things. I love to watch your videos, it is great to watch such a skilled person paint.

Also, you should totally break open the pomegranate and paint the inside of it, they have such interesting shapes and red juiciness on the inside. Then you have an excuse to eat it!

I agree. About the figure study, not the pomegranate. I've never eaten one either. I just watched your repose figure study on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_JafKOT8rE I really like it. I would buy that video Great work, all of it.
