Motor madness
Hi,
We can have a love hate madness relationship with these hunks of metal we call cars but no matter how we view them they are part of our lives.
I would like to see what cars other people have seen on their streets, also I have noticed there are a few motor heads in Wetcanvas and I'm sure they would like to let loose with a few pics.So for this thread any kind of car any model from any year from Model t's to the latest speed machine, anything goes, or maybe not, could be a rust bucket at the end of your garden.
Hope you're interested, if so feel free to contribute.
I'll post a few pics to start this off. Front and back.

Re: Motor madness
My first car was a 62 Cadillac. I bought it from my dad from $500 after I graduated from college. I loved that car and love your photos and look forward to posting some wheels.

Re: Motor madness
I have too many to post them all! Been going to car shows for years- one of the best is Dawsonville (GA) Moonshine Festival in the fall every year.
I have posted many shots over the years on WC, so when I get started I hope I don't duplicate too many...
already enjoying the posts so far.
life is good

PS: my dream car - money no object, of course - would be a 1956 Chrysler St Regis in 3-tone red-black-creamy white
or a 1956 Desoto Fireflite convertible with the factory race hemi and REAL wire wheels
what is your "dream car"?

Re: Motor madness
Hi birdhs,
Kind of hoping you would pop in knowing your interest motors.
Nice photos, I don't really have a dream car, I don't even own one, I do like the old I think 67/68/69? valiant not sure which year it is, has a boot in the shape of the spare Tyre nice shape to the whole car, don't even have a photo of it, otherwise the new Mazda sports looks good.
These little ponies are nice.

1960 Valiant
My father had this same car, I thought it was the most striking car I had seen.
I had a 1961 Valiant station wagon in 1967, fun cars.

Re: Motor madness
Once upon a time I owned a Oldsmobile monster car. it was long and wide and fast (had the 455ci) and deceptively restrained. Medium metallic green 4 door luxury that would cruise at 85 and was whisper quiet. It was similar to this photo from the web, may have been same year....
sure do love old cars...

Re: Motor madness
Hi,
birdhs I think it was a Chrysler 62 s valiant Aussie style, slightly different from the American version, I do remember it was a push button automatic I think the only one around at the time. You sure owned some big motors.
This one old enough for you?

Re: Motor madness
1913 Locomobile wrecker
This is one of the many unique vehicles at our local Wrecker and Towing museum right here in Chattanooga where the first wrecker was invented.
and for the little ones, they also have a big collection of pedal car wreckers, too.

Re: Motor madness
Hi,
Thanks birdhs, it still doesn't look 100% like the one I like but it's close.
There's an old couple who live on a farm around here who have a red one, next time I see it I'll take a pic of it and post.
We have a car and plane show this weekend coming so hopefully I can get a few pics of the old cars that are usually on display.
