Ha ha! I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that, Debby. :-) I spent a big part of my life playing paper dolls with my sisters.

That is so cute. . . I love the little shirts and them wearing them in the other drawing. Cool pages!

Yes, a big high five to a fellow lover of paper dolls. When I didn't have enough to play out all of my scenarios I made more using clothes out of the Sears and JCPenney catalog. I've even been given several of the Dover paper doll books as an adult, like in the last few years.

Mickey - I love the idea of FM and FR exchanging t-shirts as giftes...and you gave her a Yankees shirt too. I love how you are really personalizing this journal. They look cool all dressed up in their new shirts in front of Lady Liberty. You, Fran, Tina, and I had a great time with paper dolls as kids, especially when we made our own.

"Today we go to the supermarket, because we are hungry. Rosita wants avocados and some bananas. I want ice cream and chocolate."

This is so much fun. Love the tagged shirts. Can I have the bananas with the ice cream and chocolate?

Re: IFJM: Flat Mickey's New Friend
I never considered the logistical nightmare of paper dolls going shopping at the grocery store! Rosita might light avocado frozen yogurt, sounds gross I know but the taste is divine. Of course chocolate and ice cream are hard to beat too!

I know what you mean, Margo. I couldn't have them pushing grocery carts. Putting them in the seat of the cart was beyond my abilities at perspective, and having them ride in the bottom of the cart would look like they were in jail. Posing them among the produce seemed to be my best bet. LOL
Bananas with the ice cream and chocolate sound good, but I draw the line at avocado frozen yogurt. Bleh!

I like seeing the perspective of the tiny characters against the supermarket produce. lol Good idea. I like the difference in their choices of what they like...but I'd want the chocolate and ice cream too.

... but if they give in to that hunger too much, next year we might be seeing the adventures of the not-so-Flat Mickey

Re: IFJM: Flat Mickey's New Friend
cute page. . . with the size of the fruits compared to you guys, a banana could be a full meal for two
Love it.

This is great. You are refreshing my Spanish memory along the way. Very well done.
