IFJM: Corazon of Alaska

This month I am using a Stillman & Birn 7x7 Beta Journal.

I am Corazon, an eskimo/inuit Alaskan native whose passions include mushing dogs and enjoying the beautiful Alaskan scenery and Northern Lights.
Come on a journey with me this month to explore the beauty of Alaska.

Thanks, Michelle. Landscape are harder for me so I am going to try more of them in this book. . . I've never been to Alaska but really, really hope to go someday, especially to see the Iditarod!

This is great Rainy. Beautiful first page. I have to let you know how it compares when I go to Alaska in September.

Great landscape. Seeing the northern lights in Alaska is one of my dreams. I know I'll never actually get there so will view it all through your eyes and pages.

Thanks Sandra, Pat, Debby and Jacqui. . . . I just remembered that I should put these on a blog so I can share with Roz. She said once we get five pages posted to send her the URLs!

So here is Corazon's Blog

Re: IFJM: Corazon of Alaska

This is our Alaska State Bird, the Willow Ptarmigan.

I like to think of him as our feathered chameleon, since we have none of those in Alaska!! To help keep him safe from predators, during the summer, the brown comes out in his plumage to make him blend in with the lichen and moss on the tundra, but in the winder his plumage turns snowy white.

Media: Conte pencils (bird) and pen (text)
