HELP_ Products for painting on plaster (lime)???

Hi- I've been asked to do a small mural ( 5' X 12') for our Iguana breeding pen which is outside (in the Bahamas; think wind, rain, hurricanes.) The pen is cinderblock but will have a 'brown coat' (finish layer) of plaster. What paints would you recommend that can handle the lime? And the harsh conditions? That won't cost a fortune?

An exterior grade acrylic should be fine, but it depends on what the "brown coat" consists of. Is it bare plaster? I'm not very familiar with plaster (here we have mostly wallboard/ drywall, which is a plaster-paper sandwich), but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it needs a finish coat of some form of primer, and a base coat of a good exterior grade acrylic or oil based paint, then you paint with either an acrylic or oil based paint on top of that (stay the same as the base coat).

Sorry I can't be of more help, I generally require the wall to be prepped before I paint on it

I appreciate your taking the time to answer and it gives me some options to look at. I live in the Bahamas. We do not have the option to have a surface prepped for us. When you take a job here, you take it from prep to finish. I think I can now add what I need to the proposal and get it going. Thanks Michele!
