nice! looks like the first photo is good- the second one isnt such a good composition and the third one has too much distortion. i will try the first one- im looking forward to see how others approach this. cant wait to see results. i like the bloue against the orange- perfick!

Kate, as the challenge is to make a 'different' interpretation, the paintings could be a looooong way from the original reference! - so any distortion etc doesn't really matter - could even do a combination of all three!

Hi everyone, this is 6x6 inch, from a set of Acrylic linen canvas sheets of Strathmore paper (246lb).
Matisse structure paints were used: Cad Red Medium, Cad Yellow Medium, UM Blue, Cobalt Blue, Burnt Umber, Titanium White

alright, I've been looking for inspiration and I really like honey tangerines, am not sure if these are the honey one's but I guess the inspiration has hit! Lets see what comes from this... thx peeps.
