Re: beginning

Brenda, there is no mess here, infact there are very good signs of colour choice, blending style, highlighs and shadowing. So you'er started to pick up some early painting skills.

Painting fun
Gary

I believe we all continue to grow as artists, always learning, always improving. I know I have a long way to go to get to where I want to be. So, just keep painting and never doubt your abilities!

Re: beginning

I always have trouble with whiskers and other similar things when using acrylic or oils. Don't worry, you'll get there! You're off to a good start and this is a great place to learn.

Re: beginning

Really nice job on these! I especially like leopard's eye, and the highlights on the nose give it a really nice 3-D feel. Whiskers are a challenge for me too, my tip is to make sure to thin down the paint so it flows onto the canvas easier. I hope to see more of your work!
