Re: Other than Artist Way what are some top creativity inspiration books?
I skipped this thread several times. Couldn't quite figure how to answer it.
As an illustrator for a series of children's books, I first read the books. If a passage interests me- I can "see" a painting in it, then I cut and paste to a document.
How to paint it is inspired by a vast collection of art related books I collect every time I go to McKay's Used Books. I have a complete set of Wildlife stamp books from 1943 to the 70's, subjects ranging to Tiffany Glass, Picasso, Modrian, even Frank Lloyd Wright books and a lot in between.
What inspires me depends on what I need, and sometimes I just take one of my photos to Photoshop8 and play with filters and crops.
So there is no one book I would ever recommend, jeez, just reading the Harry Potter series inspires me, filling my head with all sorts of incentives and scenes.
Rest well, eat right, go out and play with your pets and SI, and enjoy the life and talent you have been given, and you will find inspiration is all around you, and especially here on WC,
Life is good,
Greg
