Encaustic as sealing wax?

Hello all!

Anyone have an opinion they would like to share regarding using R & F encaustic as a sealing wax. I wouldn't have to travel through the mail. From what I have read the only difference would be the inclusion of lac and possibly chalk? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
