Re: Eve- WIP Updated!
Good idea to practice on the vellum. I share your frustration with getting accurate photos! Things always look so much better in real life. If you figure out how to get good photos please let me know! I just got a full-spectrum light as well, and I love it. Makes it so much easier to see the colors accurately. Look forward to seeing updates on this!

Re: Eve- WIP Updated!
another update. took it with my cell so she may be a little grainy. c&c welcome.
tried to rosey up her lips. wasn't able to lift all the purple in them.
i tired to shape the bodice. changed the lace and folds some to try to give more difinition as to what was sleeve and what was dress. let me know if it works or if more needs done.
the skin tones aren't going to take any more work. tks for looking.

It looks nothing less than spectacular! The ribbon pulls the whole painting together and gives the composition a lot of pop. Fabulous work! (:
Piece, I mean, not painting Does look a lot like a painting, though.

Re: Eve- WIP Updated!
Another "wow" piece, Paula! Her lips are natural to her skin tones now, and I love how you shaped the bodice. You did an expert job overcoming the challenge of not having a ref for that.
The ribbons through her hair add such a special touch to this. And the green eyes are really something to behold.
Beautiful finish!!!

Re: Eve- WIP - Finished!
I'm going to study the bodice the next time I attempt lace. I tried to do lace once and it was so difficult to get those delicate colors reflected in the white.
Mine didn't look 1/100th as good as this. Awesome!

This has been discussed many times before but I consider CP to be paintings when it comes to this level of dedication...you also can draw with paint.
How and the world did I miss the finish as well, these threads are fast and furious some times...I really love the finish, not over powering of the dress and have always been a big fan of the lost and found edge technique. The red ribbon is what really sets this piece off...great, great piece
