Cars/Trains - x-post Pastel forum
Hello still life painters. This is for Deirdre who "gently" suggested I post these to the Still Life forum.
These were painted for the Planes, Trains & Automobiles show at the Elliott Fouts Gallery next month. Both 18x24, soft pastel.
"Traffic Jam"
and "Train Wreck"
Thanks for looking!

Re: Cars/Trains - x-post Pastel forum
Thank you, Freesail!
Thanks, Jackie - sometimes it does take ages.
Thank you for the nice compliment, Coralie!
Thanks, Steve! The cars were pure fun, but the trains did take some patience. I'm not that great at perspective and trying to get windows the same size, etc. All that boring stuff.
Thank you all for the nice comments!

Re: Cars/Trains - x-post Pastel forum
Thank you, Mark! I have had some growth in the past year, but I think it's more mental than anything else - my willingness to tackle more complex and difficult compositions. I had been sticking to simple things that were easy for me. After my "Venice" painting (which normally I wouldn't have painted, but I fell in love with the image), I decided if I can do that, I can do anything. It was a painful process, but had many rewards. Sort of like giving birth.
