Hello everyone,

I searched this site from top to bottom, trying to find where it said "post new message"... now, thanks to Doug, I know it's called "thread".
Tsk, tsk; I need to eat more fish.

I am trying to psyche myself up to pick up a paintbrush again - I have no excuses: all the time in the world, an adequate workspace, plenty of supplies of all kinds, but a mental block.
Earlier today I was checking said supplies and after gazing in despair at my gluey masking fluid, decided to google for a solution.
I found it on this site, from debra d's research - thank you, Debra! I can't wait to try your method with the ammonia.
And to Ken in England, I'm going to B&Q to find Copydex as well!
Inspired by all this, I have registered as a new member.
Looking forward to sharing.

This is a terrific community and a wonderful resource, there are forums for just about every art and craft medium here, here's a full list of the forums.

If you are interested in watercolors I suggest you check out the Watercolor Forum The links in my signature will help with the forum and give links to lots of demos, articles, videos and free on-line tutorials. If you have a particular site problem, click on my name and send me a private message (pm).

There are many talented and generous artists in the forum who will love to share your art.

Introduce yourself in the "Daily Wash" in the Palette Talk forum - they are a great bunch of folks.

I look forward to seeing some of your work in the Watercolor Gallery, or in the Watercolor Studio if you need advice. Technical questions are asked in the Learning Zone.

There is a thread at the top of the watercolor Gallery showing how to resize and post your pictures.

Hi! I'm new too. I understand about the mental block. I find that spending time with other artists or going around to galleries gets the juices flowing. When I had oodles of time (not so much now) I used to go to a girlfriend's house and we would do a 3-4 hour art session. We'd be working on our own thing, but there was something inspiring about working *with* someone that helped.
