(X-post Landscape and Photography)
The Duyfken is a replica of the Dutch vessel that was the first European ship to visit Australia (a good 150+ years before Captain Cook!). I was lucky enough to capture a photo of her at anchor off the coast of Rottnest Island back in 2012. Those interested in her story should go to http://www.duyfken.com/
I finally got around to making an image of her, utilising a background image of a sunset captured near Buffalo Bay, South Africa.
The rigging of this vessel turned out to be the most difficult masking job I can recall undertaking. I also ended up printing it three times before I got a good print (prints tend to show up shortcomings that cannot easily be seen on a monitor).
C&C welcome.
