Re: May CHALLENGE

Thank you Hal and Jenna for your kind comments. It was a fun piece to do. I love these challenges as they keep me painting and the more I paint the better I get. Not that I think I'm good by any means, but I think I am improving

Re: May CHALLENGE

Cindy, WOW!!! I know this one glows in person 'cause it does on my screen. The top flower is stunning and sets the tone for the others.

Re: May CHALLENGE

Thanks Kay. I'm sure my painting doesn't do the flowers justice. I'm trying to get use to using mat board to paint on (cheap..I get the scraps free from my local Michaels). Quite a different surface and the acrylics seem to dry extra fast on it. Its all a learning process. Someday I hope to be half as good as you

Re: May CHALLENGE

Verrrry nice, Les, I love it. Gouache is not that different from watercolor, just a bit heavier and harder to keep moist as you work. The top sunflower center is just gorgeous.

Hi Les, and welcome to the forum! You did such a great job with this painting, and the texture is beautiful! Hope to see more of your work.
