great choice of flower! it's color&structure is a bullseye, you've rendered it so beautifully it kicks everything else even more to life by contrast, highlighting the sense of time.

Re: Footsteps in Time

This is a wonderful still life!! I love all the textures and details, and especially the petals on the flower.

Re: Footsteps in Time

The composition is really nice, the eye travels just in the right way to read the painting. Looking forward to see the next still life.

I like all your pretty things and the painting you made of them. Nice composition. I'd have left a tad more room on top.

Re: Footsteps in Time

Thank you, Hamburgefions and bhindi. Yes, you are so right, bhindi I realized that and I almost made the same error on the one I am working on now. But, still in the drawing stage, I changed it. Live and hopefully learn not to make the same mistake. But, it happens from time to time.
Thanks guys for viewing and commenting.

Re: Footsteps in Time

Yummy! I can almost feel the textures here! Your color palette works great with the subject matter and the bits of typography showing are lovely. I really like the girl and the scene with the chocolate, it is loose, not overdone. But her arm is wrong, it is disturbingly thin and at an awkward angle with a half missing hand. Perhaps move it to go under the table, or fix it.
