Finally negotiated some studio time with my spouse. Newborn baby has been taking up a lot of my time, oddly!

It is definitely improved, Michael. It is fine without the rider and pack animals, but are you going to add them back in? I love that mesa! it is perfect.

No more animals.I like it without them.I worked on it quite a bit more after this last post.I might finish it tomorrow.I would have just thrown it away but I liked the Mesa too much to trash it.

Hi Everyone,
I have painted this as a placemate. I used oil sticks because I like them best because you can easily repair mistakes. I love your comments maela49Name: 1EEDFEBB-596A-4635-93F7-7C6582F3CAB8.jpeg

Re: Welcome to What's On Your Easel......October 2018

Hello everyone!

I generally have posted withing the Acrylic groups in the past, though now that I am transitioning into oils, I thought that I would introduce myself.

I began painting with acrylics about a year ago, mainly focusing on landscapes, and seascapes. My primary inspiration has come from living in Santa Cruz California, spending time along the Monterey Coast. Traveling withing Northern California, along the Western edge of the Sierra Nevada range and Gold Country.

As an introduction for this group, I would like to share one of my first attempts painting in oils. A 12 x16 on canvas.

Thank you all!
