Re: JUNE Watermedia Challenge

Keeping on the water theme. I cropped the original image and took out the buildings & cars in my painting to put more emphasis on the fountains. Watercolour 14x21cm

Re: JUNE Watermedia Challenge

Sandie - Wonderful painting of the fountains. I love it! And I like the way youve cropped it and cut out the cars! Well done!
These poor fountains have a hard life - many times (mostly at weekends) teenagers think it's funny to put soap-suds in the water. So regularly when we go to the Park the sight of huge, foaming, soapy water, meets us! looks most impressive but it takes Queen's Park staff, many hours to clean them out!

Re: JUNE Watermedia Challenge

Thank you Viv. We have a beautiful roundabout here in Lagos with a magnificent fountain on it but being so close to the sea it has become a favourite bathing pool for the seagulls. So far no soap bubbles. The kids here don´t seem to have thought of that one yet!

Re: JUNE Watermedia Challenge

Christel: Sweet painting of Hayley and her kitten. Thanks for your comment.
Kay and CaliAnn: Thanks for the positive comments.
Calvin: So glad you liked it. I think I see the fox? The colours I used for the painting were QoR Pyrrole Red Light and a tiny bit of Quinacridone Gold Deep (for the anthers) and Daniel Smith New Gamboge.
