Yes, it's raining. A lot. And it's breezy. And it's rather cool. As said best by Eyeore... O bother.
Hi Everyone! On a much brighter note, we have internet! The young tech, who I now know by name since he's been here so many times, was very efficient and thorough. He managed to get everything done between storms.
While he was working, I pulled weeds and grass from the gardens. The wild grasses love this wet weather. The only bonus is that it's very easy to pull them because of the wet weather.
Ted walked up and down our slope a few times, filled the bird feeders and cleaned GirlieGirl's heated water bowl and feeder. That was sad. After the tech left to go to another job and Simon left for his shift, Ted went to bed for a few hours. I went to the nursery to pick up more parsley and rosemary. The rosemary is sold out everywhere. Mine is growing, but the one plant isn't going to be enough for me to dry for my winter use. Anyway, I also bought another mint plant. It makes great groundcover when it doesn't matter if it's invasive.
I made turkey meatballs, pasta and homemade marinara. It wasn't the best meal I've ever made. I didn't like the meatballs. At all. Neither did Ted. I've put all the leftovers in a container to send with Simon for his lunch. He loves everything.
The Doctor told us that the presence of the veins in Ted's esophagus was the indicator that his liver is seriously scarred. There is no cure. But because the enzymes are preset, it does mean he has some amount of function and we must be very careful about his diet. Because some of the internal itching has subsided, it's a good sign that things are beginning to turn around.
Bill, GirlieG was 8 years old.
My internet issues are due to where we live. Out in the County, we have precious few choices and the trees are a big issue for line of sight, weather issues because the radio receivers are up in the air, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Ted's Sister is on the phone... I'll say g'nite and sleep tight to everyone!
