Pink flower finished

Well, here it is. Thank you everyone for the advise and comments in the studio. I'm calling this one done. Started twelve years ago and finally finished. I need to quit procrastinating.

W&N watercolors
Full sheet Arches 300# cold press

As always C&C welcome.

Clark

Well done. Like the way you painted the folds in the flower.

Remarkable! Such attention to detail; amazing folds and sharp edges. Apart from your skill I also marvel at your patience. Well done.

Wonderful Hibiscus...the rich red against the textured green leaf is pretty dramatic. Love!

Re: Pink flower finished

Thanks for the comments everyone. I had pulled this one out of storage so many times, looked at it, dabbed at it and put it back out of frustration.

On to the next piece that I didn't know what to do with. So many that I guess I got to the ugly painting stage and gave up.

At a full sheet size, this beauty would grab you as you walk into a room. Superb work!

Re: Pink flower finished

I do like to procrastinate.

KreativeK, I had a streak where I was doing a lot of full sheet paintings, flowers in particular. This is the one that I stopped doing the hibiscus to do and became my final project.

Now I think they are comparable. I had to make the paintings as realistic as I could. I guess I still do that though.
