Jack - a quick acrylic sketch

xposted in Acrylic

Title: Jack
Medium: Atelier Interactive Acrylic
Support: 300# Arches WC paper, 14in x 12in

I am getting the feel for this brand and am liking it more and more. This is a very quick study, about 2 hours from a photo. Just noticed a drooping arrow. Can you see it? I like using the paper and if he wants it, it will be cheaper to mail. Here it is:

This just makes me want to say WOW!
Love the light reflecting on the left side. Makes for such a warm and pleasing painting.

There is a fine line between impressionism and poor realism.

They had a demo at the art store with the Atelier Interactive Acrylic.
I like them even though I have never used acrylics.
I love your painting!!
Do you usually use WC paper(arches) For acrylic?
And how would you mail it?

Hi, First time I tried it. I gessoed it first and then used raw umber underneath before I drew it with a darker umber. Looks sturdy enough.

I will put it between cardboard and mail in a flat box or a big envelope. I will probably put an old mat and some archival paper before the cardboard, to protect further.
