Water Soluble Wax Crayon over Oil?

I know not to put acrylic over oil, but I wondered if anyone has information about putting water soluble crayon (Neocolor II Aquarelle) on top of an oil painted surface. On acrylics I have massed the color then hit it with a spray of water to get nice drips. But I am concerned whether it will bond properly to oil. Can the crayon alone on oil do OK? What about crayon plus water over oil? Finally, can I paint over top of the crayon?

Those crayons I believe are wax based? Doubtful they would adhere but I don't know.

Cold wax medium can be used alongside oils, so the Neocolors might work. I think that water might not be a good idea. You could try contacting Caran d'ache, they have always been quite good at answering questions that I put to them.

they would work but would need framing behind glass and long long term adhesion could be a problem. I've done this in sketchbooks and it's fine
