Question Edible Painting?

Something is eating my opaque watercolor/casein-wetted painting. Seems to be affecting the red layer mostly. Is it eating the red pigment, or the casein that's in the mix?

Art is life's dream interpretation.

Re: Edible Painting?

How strange! I have no idea of what's eating the painting or whether it's the red pigment or the casein but since casein is milk based, it would seem logical to assume it's the casein.

However, since the red layer is affected, maybe it is the pigment!

Let us know if you solve the mystery. Do you have photos of the damage? Or maybe a microscope to look at it more closely?
