Wednesday was a perfect day to be out- sunny, low 80’s, and a gentle breeze. I took my class to a nearby park, and in spite of leaving my tripod(!) in the Studio, perched on a table to paint this scene. It was way glary mixing on the palette-

I have adjusted some of these greens from this image, namely cooling/lightening the distant ground shadows, and bringing up the blues a bit in those of foreground. Also improved the cast shadow shapes in foreground.

The sky against the background trees is very interesting.

Shadow on trunk of leftmost tree seems to disagree with direction of lighting on pillar. Other than that, I like your control of color. Greens are so hard to control, for many of us.

I really like the lighting, it’s such a nice mood.

ArtMarkie– It’s an unusual color combination for me but that is how it looked.

Pinguino Are you familiar with reflective light? It’s one of the 5 basic elements of Form. Thanks, and I hope to greatly improve my facility with greens. I’ll post the adjusted image soon.
