Study Golf

I was interested in the light and form shadow modeling the golfer. I found the foreshortening of the upper limbs interesting and double checked the sizes and shapes with Burne Hogarth's books and recommendations. All comments and advice are appreciated. Thanks.

I think your purpose is served.. @ conveying the basic intent of his pose in the simplest of manner. I like it Arlene

Re: Study Golf

Arlene, this has more depth of tone than your recent studies which I think helps to model the figure making it more three dimensional. One thing I don't understand though is the position of the club against the position of his hands. Having said, I'm no golfer.

Re: Study Golf

Thank you for your comments. The golfer I think was studying the shot.

Re: Study Golf

I think this is your best too. If I read the pose right, the golfer has the club clenched under his armpit and is practising the swing( am no golfer too, so dunno if am using the right word ) with his free hands.
