Really enjoying doing the alla prima thing lately, and decided to do a portrait study today. These linen panels I got on sale have a lot of texture, but I think they were nicely for this kind of style.

Nice subtle colors. Good use of canvas as a neutral ground. Hope you sized it first, or used clear “gesso”. Check her eyes to brows distance – looks awfully close, esp. if you compare distance of nose to lips and chin.
