Re: Monthly CP Challenge - August 2012

Robin and Lynette, thank you for commenting on my work. I'm glad you like it.

This was a different work for me (my comfort zone is flowers) and also probably the most complex work I've ever done. I really enjoyed discovering the different colors in this work, for example, the purple in the turtle and his reflection and the green in the turtle and the water. I also had fun figuring out how to do his "bumpy" neck. And I had never done water before; here I found that solvent really helped "liquify" the water. A great learning project for me. Thanks for setting up these challenges! (And for keeping these threads open for longer than a month; this was a slow project for me.)

Linda

Someone outside their comfort zone!

More than welcome, Linda. You've done a great job. So no creeping back to your comfort zone. Now that you're out, you gotta keep exploring!

Robin and LA,

Thanks for your support. I appreciate it so much.

My piece is 8" x 10". I usually try to work a standard framing size to minimize framing costs. It's done on Stonehenge white paper.

Linda
