Protection for a piece that will hang outdoors- X-Post Acrylics

Hey all,
I have a question I hope someone may have an answer for. I have done a piece that will hang outdoors at the beach. It will be a sign for a condo complex. I have painted it with acrylics on a piece of 12x72 pine. I don't have the patience for lettering, so I have purchased white letters that will be attached to look like they are rising out of the surf. My question is about protection. I have purchased a marine grade poly. That will protect it from the weather, but I don't know that it will do anything for UV protection. Is there a good UV product that I could apply first, and then follow with the poly? Here is a section of the piece. Thanks so much!
Elaine

For anyone who may be interested, I found a product called Varathane, by Rustoleum. It is a water-based, outdoor spar urethane. It is low odor, dries quickly, and didn't leave brush strokes. Time will tell how it holds up in the weather.

Thanks for the info I know we have a bunch of past posts in regard to this, just don't remember the products that some have used. Sounds like you found something that worked well
