Merriweather - I love both your lions!

Sandie - Beautiful roses!

I tried the Dawn ref. I should have stretched my paper, as it needed lots of wet'n'wet watercolor washes. So it's not as good as it should be .... and that's what happens when I try to take shortcuts!

"Dawn" - 20cm x 30cm - watercolor on Arches paper

Sandie - lovely roses!
Vivien - great version of the sunset! I did a painting once that curled like that. I then glued it onto a card which helped a lot.

Re: July 2019 Watermedia Challenge

Hi!, all, things are a bit busy hope to get the puppy done before 8/1.....

Vivien, thanks for your good feedback on the owlet. Liked your Dawn scape, very atmospheric and the reflections worked well!

Sandy, I'm enjoying all your paintings, the candy jar on the wooden surface stand out with it's contrast and pencil on the wood dynamics, alsoyour monocrone is dynamite. I can well imagine it took you 4 hrs....we are having high temps here also, so stay cool! good time to enjoy your painting!

Merriweather, Thanks for your thoughts on the wee one! Your Leo's are so dynamic, i'm particularly fond of the close up because of the gaze and wc dynamics w the white acrylic pen, so lifelike.

Have to get started on mine, enjoy the weekend
