Talking P&I forum challenge: November 2019

Welcome to our forum challenge for November in which we continue our encouragement to Draw from Life!

The aim is to capture our own personal and individual moments and share them here on this thread!

All suggestions/subjects/themes come from those who participate!

** As you post your own drawing in this thread, please then also suggest ONE subject/topic for next month. One entry = One suggestion for the following month .... another entry? - another suggestion!

By the end of the month we should have a range of ideas from which you can choose – and please do feel free to discuss any of the suggestions raised: who knows, you may even start keeping your own private list for future ideas!**

One important rule -Entries must be at least 75% pen and ink in any colour - and wash or colour may be added.

Your topics for this month are:

something feathery.

an animal of any kind

clothing

something to keep you warm

a winter scene,
and ...

something that brings you joy

A tool

books

dessert

an old house

ornament(s),

Fall Floral(s)

water.

Quite a range of subjects for this month - thank you for all the suggestions - now let's get inking!

This is definitely "Some kind of animal"!
I started making a cat, then I wanted dog, then I just "went with it".

A doodle in my 7 by 10" sketchbook with junky ink pen.

No protractors were harmed in the making of this image.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I POSTED THIS

ORNAMENT - Scarecrow - this is one I have had awhile and I drag it out every year.

Suggestion for the next challenge - some kind of Holiday food.

Thank you for hosting.

Re: P&I forum challenge: November 2019

Barbara, that's a really sweet drawing - it certainly looks like a much -loved ornament!

The site seems to be having some problems - I'm coming across a lot of double postings so maybe others are having a similar experience to yourself, and if they don't see their first post, repeat the post quickly and then WC catches up!...... and I know some of my posts have disappeared!

Re: P&I forum challenge: November 2019

Argh, sorry about the glitches.

That's a wonderful ornament! it's so cute!

I love the dog-cat hybrid. I think my cat would cut me if I tried to turn her into the dog.

"Home" using Skaura Pigma Micron 005, 01 & 05 and Pilot Precise Grip Extra Fine pens on 6" x 9" (~15 x 23 cm) 76# (207 gsm) Colorbok bristol. This is one of six birdhouses we have on the property (and the only "three-storey" one).

Re: P&I forum challenge: November 2019

I made a small journal out of some handmade paper so I am experimenign with different mediums to see how it reacts:

1=feather: fountain pen
2. dessert: backed pears in ink and WC
3- winter scene , ink and inktense pencils

That journal is amazing! It looks liek it suited the ink very well. The colors came out beautifully.

Re: P&I forum challenge: November 2019

You are so creative Bonnie... lovely journal .... beautiful feather and such fine lines on the paper, which looks quite 'rough'!
I like all three!
