Thanks Coastal, I believe most of his red in the beard will show up after I varnish it, seems like it got lost in the reflection.

This guy has great character. I think you did a great job on the background as well - it's something that often gets overlooked and in hyper-realism often gets painted too realistic and fights with the poi. I think your softer, more abstract background helps give a cool contrast to a warmer face and keeps us on the poi. Really great painting.
