Wonton Noodle

Hi
Wonton noodle is a famous and traditional food in my place, if this looked not delicious, it is my fault, don't let it spoil your desire to try.
Polychromos on Saundes Waterford HP 8" x 10"
Sincerely looking forward for comments and critics.

Nicely done Iceefaery! It looks delicious. Nice job on the reflections on the spoon and bowl. I see you are in Hong Kong, that city is one of my favorite places to visit.

This looks delicious! I'd order that if I were at your place. It looks like it would've been hard to draw all those noodles.

Re: Wonton Noodle

Nice job! I like how the background shading really compliments the noodles. Great job on the noodles.

Well done. Makes me want to try it. Have you sorted out your problem with the pencil coming off the paper?

Re: Wonton Noodle

Thank you all for your encouraging words

Pingpongfan, I tried other papers like Fabriano Artistico as recommended by Brissie, the colour stays well, and this one is on Sauders Waterford HP, also good with polychromos. I learned a lesson, not all papers go well with all colour pencils, and here is a good place to get useful advices.

Looks great to me! We have a great duck house in Philadelphia and this looks just like their soup!

Re: Wonton Noodle

OOOhhh! Now I crave some asian noodle soup!

It was so cold waiting for the bus this morning.
Up here, the vietnamese version is more commonly found, but unfortunateley not close by my office. I'll just have to wait untill I have a chance to go visit one of the restaurants in the next city.

About your drawing, good stuff. very believable.
I like how you rendered the texture. I am not sure about the background color. It work but maybe a contrasting color would have made the soup stand out more... on the other hand, those warm colors give it a cozy feel... hmm.

Well done.

Re: Wonton Noodle

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Ladysue, thanks for your advice on the background, I'll try to use contrasting background on my next drawing.
