2nd post,Where I,m at now

Hi,Has I Said in my first post I only started painting in Oct last year,I think I have progressed a little,but still find I am doing copying from photos,hav,nt come up with a "style"yet,I suppose it takes time..anyway heres one of my latest,it,s taken from the statue of st George on Coventry cathedral,in oil,12 by 16...cheers..Norm

"Style" is one of those things that takes care of itself, just as surely as wet laundry will dry on a clothesline.

Just paint.

i think you've captured the essence of the statue, but the background is not working for me. too light and the lines are distracting. do you have a photo program on your computer? put the picture in it, and try some different things out b4 you commit. i find it helpful to do that...
