Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

Thanks everyone for you kind comments.

Skip - your trees are great, love the shadows. Nice colours and lines on the flower drawing.

Sanlynn - those blooms must have taken ages. Nice job.

Potters - nice narrow boat. I've spent many happy days in one on the Macclesfield canal.

Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

Thanks Ron. It only took about 15 minutes. When it's just paper and pen it doesn't take long.
Skip, nice iris. The colours are quite striking.

Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

Thanks Ron, the owners kindly waited for me to finish before casting off which was nice of them, although he did tell me I'd not quite got the bow right and you wouldn't be able to steer it in a straight line😀

Potter, A great drawing! I was fascinated with the canal boats while visiting England. Would love to spend a summer traveling on one.

Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

Well observed Sanlynn, I like the comparison of soft thistle and firmer sepals(?).

Don't forget your suggestion for September!!!

Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

This is the top half of the monster cedar outside our apartment. It's around 100ft tall, hence I wasn't able to fit the tree on a single page.

Its from April 2018 - I was housebound (and bored) at the time. The drawing started as a doodle and then I just kept going.....

Nice artichoke Sanlynn. I like the flow of the lines.

My suggestion for next month is - a toy.

Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

That's a good doodle/turned study Ron ... imagine the perspective had you continued downwards!

Re: P&I Forum Challenge - August

Flower(s) - after I completed this I looked again at the subjects and discovered it said flower. So thought it would be ok if I posted and you considered each as an individual flower Also noted perspective is off a bit. But - it was fun trying.

Thank you for hosting.
