Re: Scavenger Hunt #504-July15- 23, 2017

Hi Jo. Didn't you go west for the summer this year?

We just finished around 17 days straight of triple digits. The second time this summer. I only have a swamp cooler and fans, so stay inside and don't move around much. When I have to do errands, I try to do those in the early morning and even then come home exhausted. Good thing is we don't have a lot of humidity. One day it was 39%. But we mostly have dry heat. Makes for more fires.

I did these for Joe. He said he misses my multi item hunts. I did these with pen, then colored pencil. its about 4x6 on tan toned Strathmore paper.

1. birdhouse
2. sports equipment ( stuffed football dog toy)
3. something I save (cow)
4. blue (bluetooth mini speaker that I can't get to work)
5. red (strawberry huller from ad on FB--too hard to use with arthritis)
6. shovel

Jo, that doll sketch is wonderful! A happy face and wonderful shape.

Hi J! I am so sorry you're living through these incredible heat waves. It does make it hard to get motivated to do anything.

I love your sketch lineup! Everything is bright and cheerful, and the Santa in particular makes me smile.

"J", we went for a month on the road to Colorado and Montana. It was nice but packing and unpacking. We are going to Angel Fire, NM, again on August 10 for a month. Can't wait. We had planned to stay home, but our kids want to get together there, so a good time to do it.
I love your sketch. The Santa is pretty special Irritating to have "handy" things that don't work. It is blue, though. Ha.
You need to get your sketchbook and go to a mall, museum or coffee shop and hang out and be cool. It has been hot here, too, but not so bad and we have AC. Whew!

Hi, Ai and Terri. Thanks.

Ai - love the park sketches. You capture the beauty of Thailand so well.

Jeanne - THANKS! I truly miss your bright compositions. You have not lost the touch. Really nice.

Jo - the doll is neat. Love how you captured the detail of its cloak. Hand ain't bad either.

Thanks to all for encouraging words.
Joe

Ai, I like your stealthy sketch! Nice work. I watched golf instead of sketching. Shame.
