I have been spending way to much time on this little 8×10″ i think it done now… maybe. I do not have a name for it yet but I’m pleased with what i have so far. I welcome any C&C. If you want to critique the piece be a brutal as you want, thats how I learn!

Im trying to add looseness into my paintings. Its a struggle for me. I want a balance between realism and impressionism. I do not believe I did that here but im glad you like it!

Comments and Criticism always welcome!December 4, 2018 at 5:48 pm #741774Fun stylised brush strokes. Really lovely colors, lively enough to be interesting and also repeating enough to provide color harmony. Nice textures. Your bottle is floating, it needs some darker brushstrokes to imitate a shadow, which will help ground it.
Being born places you at a greater risk of dying later in life.

I would have liked to see something next to the bottle for a stronger comp.

Keep them coming.I knew someone was going to say that! my last two paintings have been a little unbalanced. There is something I like about that. You are right, it would make a stronger Comp. The only thing this has going for it is the rule of 3rds. and it does that very well with the bottle and the plackets in the background.
Thank you for you feed back!

Kathie :December 5, 2018 at 10:10 am #741778The loose brushwork is very nice. There is no shadow!
December 5, 2018 at 10:19 am #741783The recent update of this has more shadow than the first one. but I need to cast that shadow on the back and right side of the box. Ill add some in tonight and upload it!
