Re: Off-piste:- No aircraft :0)

Wow.some great stuff coming out of the bag here

Like Napier/Don i stopped painting for about 15 years and since a break up about 13 years ago have lost hundreds of photo's of my stuff

I did tons of African Wildlife and loads of other subjects / Railway /portraits etc...and have a very few samples left .... the stuff i do for a gallery is repetitive and get fed up with doing them so i don't even take pics of them, maybe i should start to

Old one here from the 70's

@johnstevens - that "duel" painting you did really works for me. Great movement, focus clearly on the two cars. Some other really great work in this thread. Keep it up!

Aviation is my job (I love my job! ), but I guess you could consider landscapes my hobby.

Some very good work here. John, I really like your Senna/Mansell duel, beautifully done, great movement. Your portraiture and racing images also rock! Love that violin!

Charles, love that British soldier, impressive pencil work.

Russ, your landscapes match your aviation in quality without any doubt.

Here's a few more, some acrylic (Paul Tracy, American Le Mans scene, skating scene), colored pencil (Fittipaldi), gouache (Dog)

So much good things in this post it is so hard to mention them all. Russell always loved the NZ sunset painting but then I am biased about NZ anyway. Gary love the flowers and bird.

I agree. Familiar names with very unfamiliar artwork. Whatever gave me the inspiration to start this thread and give the guys an opportunity to showcase their superb art & craftworks, I am very thankful for. Hopefully there are some gems left to come. I dont want to single out any particular works, but I do want to thank everybody that has contributed. Well done one and all.

Len, you and I need to get together... Have a cold beer on a hot summers day, and talk bollocks all day......

Anyone fancy a beer with me and Len?
