X-posted from acrylcs-Boat collage

Boat collage in acrylics
This is an experiment in collage with the boat cut out of core board, and card, this was then painted. Then acrlics mixed with sandflowing into the boat, finished with small pebbles fixed with acrylic. final detail sky & sea. C&C most welcome

Boat collage reworked
From remarks & suggestions I have added more sand to the boat, damage to the bow, bits of plank, a tiller, & a few other things

Wonderful 3D effect on this one, Brian.
There is a West Australian Artist, Alex Wisniewski who has been doing something similar for years. He glues sand and shells to the foreground of his seascapes. It looks great IRL.

Thanks Randall ,Marty, I have looked at Alex wisniewski web page, very impressive, but was not my inspiration. This came from a holiday on Santorini last month, actually it was a superb art shop in a small town called Oia (Ear) a fantastic shop, & the owner let me take a few photo's of this particular collage
