first landscape

Finally trying some landscape. 16x20.

This was for fun and to get started in landscapes. Im aware its not great, so any help is appreciated.

I know the glow on the closest hill isnt natural, but its a result from a lens flare I enjoyed so I included it for this time. Or maybe the dirt is translucent.

Re: first landscape

This looks very good to me. I found myself squinting into that sunset. Beautifully done. Gary

Re: first landscape

This piece is very well done for a first piece. It has wonderful reflective light and super depth.
Well done.

Lovely natural sunset, colour soft and not over done. Great start.

Re: first landscape

Very nice job on the light effect at the sun itself. Trikist hit it exactly, it looks so natural that there is a reflex to squint when looking at it. Colors look good, composition works.

Re: first landscape

Nice use of complementary colors & I love that gradient light effect which becomes progressively lighter towards the sun - A great result - Well Painted !
