Green Vase

24X24 Oil on canvas

I've had this canvas lying around for awhile, hence the size.
I found this vase at a Salvation Army Thrift shop and loved the colors in it.
It was a difficult subject, but I stayed with it.

How does it looK?

Yes, just one object - and it only cost $.99 at the thrift store.

I probably spent tenfold more hours looking at this set up than I did painting it.

Here's the scary part - if I had looked at it a few hours longer, the painting would look different than it does now.

Re: Green Vase

Hard to beat a nice dollar prop! Wonderful handling of the reflected colors into the vase, it really has so much awesome color going on.

Re: Green Vase

A great piece of work. Well done on incorporating the reflection in the table while still keeping its amber colors rich and full.
