Hello, and welcome to the June Monthly Challenge! Since no one was able to host for this month, we’ve decided on a group challenge, so the images have been generously shared by several members. Thank you all!
Everyone is invited to join in on this challenge! We welcome all art mediums and skill levels. Please share kind comments on one another’s artworks, but don’t give any harsh critique unless it’s requested by the artist. Use these images any way you wish – let them inspire you as they are, crop them, combine them…you get the idea. Have a lot of fun! Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

I know, right? She’s not quite 2 years old, and already is a little chub. She’s very huggable…like a pillow.:wink2: Part of it is that she’s oddly proportioned. She’s got a tiny head and very short legs. I wondered if she could be a munchkin cat, but I think it’s more that she was a very runty, stunted kitten. We rescued her from someone who was unable to care for her. She’s as happy as can be to live her life as a pampered house cat.:cat:

“your Mo looks like she does not need mo’ food…” haha! All the cats I ever had would fit in that category! She does indeed look like a happy, contented little cat :)! (I’m a cataholic!)

Here is Midget, my Texas rescue, literally off death row kill shelter, a very cuddly girl. CaliAnn, if you have a cat photo why not post it

Kay: I have a TON of cat picks, as I used to do fostering, as well as TNR – you might have opened up a cat of worms (is it cat or can) by asking me that! LOL
I love when I hear about people taking in rescued cats – puts a big smile on my face!

June 2, 2019 at 2:04 pm #836047It’s wonderful to see so many dropping by! Can’t wait to see where you all go with this challenge. Looks like we’re becoming cat-themed. Hey, it works for me! I, too, am a cat lady. I have three house cats and multiple barn cats. It’s so fun to “meet” all your kitties. Have fun with the challenge!

June 2, 2019 at 2:22 pm #836048Just sharing a real quick sketch of one of the lovely horses in Jo’s photo. This is another Inkling, measuring 3×3″. I drew it in around 5-10 minutes with Staedtler pens. Had fun with the silhouette of this horse. Done on blue cardstock. C&C welcome.

Jenna, your inked horse sketch is really cool and I’m liking the texture ink gives the animal.
