Re: Round the Campfire ~ February

Hi everyone!

Hi CK. Thanks! You're right - another Goliath would be quite daunting!

Hi Deb. Loved your newest painting, even if you aren't feeling too sure about it.

Hi Rick. Thank you! It should be great fun! I've got a basic outline in place now. So far so good.

Hi Linda. Huge is right! My painting easel was too lightweight and small to hold it, so I've got it in my bedroom in a sort of made up easel consisting of an old hospital bed tray, a strip of wood, a C clamp, and a curtain rod. It's crude and took some thinking, but now it's pretty nicely set up so I can work. What will I do with all the scratchings? I don't know...hope they won't stain my clothes and carpet I guess! Wow...I'm feeling a little faint just thinking of 108 stories high! Heights are not my thing! Have fun and savor the moment.

No way!! Was it Griffs?? My daddy used to take me there all the time (until it burned down ) I haven't been to the new one but I DO live about a minute from the new location

Thanks about the beetle...CK, they're about two or three inches long but the horrifying mouth pincers that you can't see in the sketch make them seem that big! I also know what you mean about working at store level. I just left retail after fifteen years and I hope I NEVER have to do that again!!!!

Deb, that sock looks neat! If i'd tried that it would just be a big loose pile of yarn....I love the colors you used too

Sitting at the dog show... black is NOT slimming!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nor fun in the direct sun.
Four days for the raffle and I have them fill out paper, put it in a big jar then they pull out the winner and give me all the names so I have an interest list.
Only 8 or so today but it was a very small gang of people. More each day of the show. SOMEONE must need a dog painting or two!
