Hey Sandra, how do you like those water soluble pencils? I bought a couple but haven't gotten around to using them yet

Re: Sandra's Challenge

Sheep!!! Deirdre, it's sheep!!! I've been hoping someone would write sheep!!!

Thank you! I'll do some in soft pastels perhaps in a bit.

Donna, the watersolubles these days are more convenient for me now that I am less mobile and so a waterbrush will ease the need to go use a tub of water to wash brushes. I use it like a dry color pan and dip brush on it at times. Quite neat. But also draw first and brush also.

Love the sheep, Sandra! Those bright green features on the first one are so cool. Great job!

Re: Sandra's Challenge

This one really is lulling me to sleep. Just painting it with pan pastels all over is relaxing. I'm heading off to bed now.

Wow, I slept for 3 hours straight after those sheep. It did work.

One more sheep before bed but forgot to scan. Now I'm awake.

Re: Sandra's Challenge

Excellent work on those many, many sheep, Sandra! I'm so happy you were able to get some sleep. I'm not sure what you can take to help with sleep with your other meds, but I find that Melatonin is a totally natural and quite effective sleep aid. I take it regularily and it makes quite a difference. Might be worth considering.

Great work on the second sheep as well. Love your bold use of color.

Re: Sandra's Challenge

Excellent work Sandra! I am having fun following all your sketches. I feel guilty for not joining in as of yet, but I will.

Next word...... cow dog or sheep dog.. as in blue heeler, australian shepard, or border collie, that sort of dog

Thank you, Ron. I hope to see more people posting sketches too, not just me.

Here's a blue heeler. First time I came across this dog on youtube. Seems really high energy.

Re: Sandra's Challenge

Peggy, tonight I'm going to try the simple solution of counting more sheep and take some simple Benadryl. No hardcore medication.

Today, at the doctor's, this is the first time I realized I was only days if not weeks away from my demise from this stage 4 cancer. I didn't know until now. Did I burst into tears this afternoon after the doctor saw a renaissance on my part now that I am responding well to this chemo drug and told me how bad a state I was in. Thank the Lord, really, for this incredible cancer board who pushed everything through for me.

I could now walk, sit, lie down, roll. What takes 10 mins usually for a walk to the store took me 45 mins yesterday and today, it took half an hour. I'm looking forward to better times tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. Thank you everyone for keeping my spirits up. I just need to sleep and put on more weight. Lost another 3 lbs.

Protein powder on the way...and I need to soup up some of my animal drawings here and give them some healthy outlook too. Will be back.
