A couple of still lifes

Apples-8” x 10” on panel
Onions- 10” x 12” on panel
Gouache: Holbein, WN, LeFranc & Bourgeos
Painted from life, natural light through a sliding glass door.

Excellent still lifes! The two smaller apples make me think of red onions when I first look at them, probably because of their shape. Maybe that could be avoided by warming their color a bit.

Very nice handling of the gouache.

The apples are very ripe Macouns that turned a deep violet red, similar to red onion color. They joined the compost bucket after posing.
