Does one ear count? You can see the struggle!

Gads, that feather is gorgeous!

Mary, love your painting and the sentiment. Agreed!

The next one just makes you smile...

Awwww, he's darling, Mary....

I think the ear I drew is pretty awful! You can see how I had to jink it around to relocate it. Of course, I forgot to mention that the whole head is not more than an inch and a half across!

Okay, grass...I'm sure I have that around... Yep--here you go! (I hope I haven't shown it here before!)

gouache, 2.5" x 3.5"
The next sketch or painting is of a special place...

Re: And the next sketch is ......

Mary, I love the purple elephant! Do they keep that shade when they grow up?

Deborah, that is a super little art card! I think you are as good at gouache as you are with pastel!

The following is a watercolour in 5.5x 8.5 S&B Gamma. It is done 'plein aire', and (sadly?) is the best one I've done yet! I'm trying to learn how...

It is done sitting in the football field of a now-abandoned high school. I've been jogging here with my dog for 7 years now. The field is kept mowed for a soccer club that rents it (I now crawl through the fence to get in), but the old school itself is boarded up and gathering dust. They built a new, bigger school at a different location!
I love this old field and hope to use it for my dog's remaining years...

I didn't add in the wire fence around the edge of the field, as I don't know how to paint that yet!

The next one is also done 'plein aire'...

Re: And the next sketch is ......

Thank you Mary! Your diversity of material and skill is AWEsome!

Nice one, EP! I have new appreciation for just how hard it is to draw and paint outside!
Your date is last Sept., so that would account for all the bright colours!

Re: And the next sketch is ......

I agree, doesn't need a fence at all!

EP, love the colors of these flowers and foliage.

This one has teeth...

(My grand, of course...)

And the next one has hair...
