Do I have to use these paints and brushes

I would like to paint flowers using David Jansen's Paint it Simply method. However, I was wondering if I could use my own Liquitex and Golden, some professional grade paints rather than his Heritage Interactive Acrylic paints.
And I want to use my own brushes which some are high quality. Does anyone paint using this method and what would you suggest? This is his website:

Never heard of him!

All artists have their favourite tools and materials and, if endorsing them, will suggest you buy them to achieve their 'look'.

I'd say, use whatever you like, what you're comfortable with, then try to get the style you want .

It's the mind, eye and hand that are important!

Re: Do I have to use these paints and brushes

Hi Maureen,

Thank you for your comment.

After delving further into David Jansen's videos, I see that basically what he does is add some extender to his acrylics to make them flow a little easier but not too much extender whereby the acrylics become liquidy. I'm pretty sure that I can do this. And using my own brushes too.

I love what he does as it is or is very similar to the Zhostovo painting style.
