Another thought about composition

A video commentary from Clyde Aspevig, it occurs to me that he is talking about "composition", just not about rules and grids.

I am more moved by Clyde's written words. From the link: "Teachers in workshops who teach you to think and to answer your own questions are the ones to seek out." and "Workshops also are very expensive. Might be best to spend the money on quality supplies, art books and seeing the great museums of the world. Finding the answers in the struggle to paint well is best served by your own investigation.".
