Welcome to the October florals challenge! My theme is

Any water related flowers like the lotus can also be included.
Any medium may be used to create your artworks, which are to be posted on the 25th of this month.
Use your own reference photos or use one of the posted references. The RIL has gorgeous photos for more inspiration

Thanks Christel, the RIL certainly has some gorgeous photos of waterlillies, I’ve chosen one from Dewi.

I started this already on a cut-up full sheet of watercolour paper instead of using pads (fabriano usually), different tooth and texture than usual and much easier to control. Plus I’ve been buying bought some gouache and watercolours lately (at great cost ) to mix the acrylic ink up a bit, lots of fun with this one.
