Organizing Photos

Hi, I'm visiting from the watercolor forums. I have used Photo shop elements for some time now to organize my photos. I am wondering if there is something better. my needs would be that I don't lose all the tags that I have, though not all of my photos are tagged. I would also like to make groups/folders such as, "trees", "Sky" etc. and a rating system to easily access ones I really think would make good paintings, etc,,,

I know elements does all that but the tagging and search is clunky in my opinion,,,,It works ,but is there anything better??? thanks for any ideas>

Take a look at Adobe Lightroom that might suit your needs.
